OUR HOLIDAY

As hostile as a Goose is towards outsiders, it is as gentle and caring towards its offspring and those it cares about. Although short, that is what Gooster stands for in our country.

 

This annual holiday is a tribute to the revival of our spirit animal, war god and patron:
The ancient Grey Goose. It is an entity that has fought valiantly for our country to be what it is now. Through bloodshed, a lot of honking and not letting a single being pass him, it protected his territory and his precious offspring.

 

Therefore, we see it only fit to pledge our allegiance to it and celebrate with a holiday. This is organized as a goose egg hunt, where all the citizens of Karlsbergh set out to find a golden egg, containing the essence of the Grey Goose. This egg has protective qualities like protecting the owner’s family from radiation that our powerplants generate and granting the family of its holder extensive wealth.

 

This search is, since it is so rewarding, anything but easy. It usually takes the entire day to get a hold of the egg. If the winner sets a record, he is granted an additional wish by the government.

 

Since we believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to hold the golden egg, the winner must return the golden egg after keeping it for one year. He is allowed to influence the decision on where to hide the egg in next year’s edition, but this will not allow him to compete in the hunt.
